4. Double-click to add your last vertex, and the polygon will be created.
5. To analyze the carbon within your polygon, click the calculator icon.
6. To delete the polygon, select it and then click the trash icon.
Upload a polygon shapefile to analyze the carbon within it's boundaries. Results will show below.
Note, when selecting a .shp file, you must also provide the related .dbf, .shx, and .prj files.

About the Data
This site contains a first-of-its-kind comprehensive data set on the global potential for increased storage of carbon on land. This data set was produced by Walker et al. (2022) and is described in detail in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
The units of the carbon density maps shown here are megagrams of carbon per hectare (Mg C ha-1). The data set has been prepared at a spatial resolution of ca. 500 meters in the MODIS sinusoidal map projection.
Data can be downloaded in GeoTIFF format from the Harvard Dataverse.
